Former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene called on Vice President JD Vance and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard to "speak out against the war in Iran," recalling that the two were "both on record repeatedly, publicly, and loudly" calling on to prevent such a scenario.
"People are paying attention, very close attention. Silence won't cut it," Greene said in a social media publication.
"You cannot be silent. Americans are dying. You both know this is not what we campaigned for and this is 100% what we said would not happen. We said, I said, you said: NO MORE FOREIGN WARS AND NO MORE REGIME CHANGE. All we wanted was America FIRST. This is not it," she added.
.@JDVance and @TulsiGabbard you both need to speak out against the war in Iran.

People are paying attention, very close attention. Silence won’t cut it.
You were both on record repeatedly, publicly, and loudly against going to war with Iran.

Greene has been extremely critical of the strikes against the Iranian regime, claiming President Donald Trump lied during his campaign when he promised the U.S. wouldn't get involved in new conflicts.
In a lengthy social media post on Saturday, Greene listed different instances that she described as hypocritical from Trump and his administration. "It's always a lie and it's always America Last. But it feels like the worst betrayal this time because it comes from the very man and the admin who we all believed was different and said no more," she said.
Greene went on to say that "we thought the victory won in 2024 would be finally time to put America First," but claims that has not been the case. "Instead, we get a war with Iran on behalf of Israel that will succeed in regime in Iran. Another foreign war for foreign people for foreign regime change. For what?" she added.
Greene had already made similar claims as Washington and Iran's negotiations stalled over the past days. Earlier this week she declared "End of MAGA" and accused the president of aligning with "neocons."
"This is the Trump I supported, the man who called out the truth about the WMD in Iraq and declared NO MORE FOREIGN WARS," Greene wrote. "Now for some unknown reason, Trump has joined the neocons and will soon go to war against Iran with the same BS excuses. End of MAGA."
Her post included a video clip from the 2016 Republican presidential debate in which Trump criticized the Iraq War. In the clip, in which he stands next to then candidate Jeb Bush, Trump says: "We spent 2 trillion dollars, thousands of lives. ... Obviously it was a mistake. George Bush made a mistake. ... We should have never been in Iraq. We have destabilized the Middle East. They lied. They said there were weapons of mass destruction, there were none."
