A woman and her boyfriend in Wichita Falls, Texas have been charged with murder and evidence tampering on Friday, Oct. 22, after she and her beau reportedly beat their child so much that he suffered a seizure and died.

Logan Cline, an 11-year-old boy whose body was found in an abandoned car in Wichita Falls, was allegedly abused by her 38-year-old mother Stormy Loraine Johnson and her 33-year-old boyfriend Corey Allen Trumbull, who are both facing trial for his 2019 murder, the Times Record News reported.

Trumbull is currently serving a prison sentence in Nevada for domestic violence with a deadly weapon, lewdness with a minor, and child abuse. Trumbull perpetrated abusive behavior towards Johnson, Johnson’s 15-year-old daughter, and Cline which led to the young child's death, according to News Channel 6.

Trumbull would reportedly abuse and beat Cline repeatedly during their stay in Wichita Falls. At times, Johnson would also join in beating Cline. Cline and her sister were also sexually abused by Trumbull and Johnson repeatedly during their stay.

The beatings intensified over two weeks before Cline’s death, with Trumbull stomping on the child's head so hard that he was left unable to speak clearly. He was bruised and beaten, but Johnson never took Cline to see a healthcare professional.

On the night that Cline died in 2019, Trumbull and Johnson beat him so much that he started having seizures before he died. His death was not reported to the police by Johnson or Trumbull and left his body in an abandoned car while they drove to Las Vegas.

There, Johnson and Trumbull committed numerous crimes, including possession of child pornography and sexual assault of a minor. Trumbull was also charged with domestic battery and kidnapping during his stay in Las Vegas.

Johnson is currently being held at the Florence McClure Women's Correctional Facility in Las Vegas.
