The Philadelphia Eagles already have two first-round picks but it appears they want something more.

The word going around is that the Eagles are looking to move up the 2022 NFL Draft, possibly to penetrate the top 10. Assuming this is the case, there is no word on which players Philadelphia is targeting.

At the moment, the Eagles own the rights to the 15th and 18th overall picks. Originally, they held the rights to three first-rounders before trading one away to the New Orleans Saints.

According to NFL Insider Ian Rapoport, the Eagles have been making calls to possibly move up the draft order. It was not mentioned which teams Philadelphia has spoken two. It was also not mentioned who they possibly have their eyes on.

NBC Sports suggests that the Eagles may be looking to take in a cornerback, a receiver or possibly an edge rusher. Aside from the picks, Philadelphia has the assets to move up the 2022 NFL Draft if they are bent on doing so.

Hence, it would be wise to keep an eye on the Eagles. The 2022 NFL Draft happens on Apr. 28 in Las Vegas.

Assuming the Eagles want to get into the top 10 mix, one name that could be on their radar is Ahmed Gardner. However, there is a chance that some other NFL team may beat Philly to him. It all depends on how high they are aiming.

If not Gardner, another name that the Eagles could target is Derek Stingey Jr. Although he has some red flags, the Eagles could take a chance on him and help him unleash his true potential. Trent McDuffie is another name to consider.

Other names that come to mind include edge rushers Jermaine Johnson, George Karlaftis and Kayvon Thibodeaux.

Philly is likely studying their options and seeing if the need to trade up is needed. It all boils down to how bad they want that “particular” player.
