And just like that, we are officially halfway through the 2016 NFL season.

It’s been one heck of a ride so far. We’ve already witnessed two ties, incredible rookie quarterback play, and a lot of teams have exceeded expectations. But, on the other hand, we’ve also witnessed some poor play. Some teams just haven’t lived up to the high and lofty expectations set forth before the season began.

Here are the top five most disappointing teams of the 2016 season.

5. Jacksonville Jaguars

For once the Jaguars actually had some hype and expectation surrounding the team before a season began. Unfortunately, they couldn’t live up to it. The Jaguars started the season 0-3, and that’s too bad considering they play in such a bad division. One of the biggest issues for the Jaguars so far has been their ground game, and things won’t get easier as they play the Kansas City Chiefs next week. Oh well, there’s always next year.

4. Indianapolis Colts

If you’ve seen one Colts game, you’ve seen them all. They fall behind by two scores early, then they make a late run, and then that’s followed by a narrow loss. Sometimes a win, but usually a loss. The Colts offensive line isn’t giving Andrew Luck enough time to throw and their defense is absolutely hideous. Now 3-5, the Colts have a whole lot more questions than answers, and there’s more bad news for Colts fans: their second half schedule is one of the toughest in the league. Thankfully for the Colts they do play in a weak AFC South division.

3. New York Jets

Jets fans are used to disappointment, but one thing they can usually count on is a good secondary. Not this year. Amazingly, the Jets have the worst pass defense in the league as far as yards allowed. Now 3-5, the division race is pretty much over already for Gang Green and a wild card spot is fading away quickly. Ryan Fitzpatrick, who held out almost the entire offseason for a new contract, has played so poorly that he was even benched for Geno Smith. Darrelle Revis’s future is a bit murky as well.

2. Arizona Cardinals

It’s amazing how much of a difference two kicks make. If Chandler Catanzaro makes a last second field goal against the New England Patriots and an overtime field goal against the Seattle Seahawks, the Cardinals would be 5-3. But he didn’t, and now the Cardinals are just 3-4-1. Memories of that 49-15 beat down against the Panthers in the NFC Championship game won’t go away as the Cardinals haven’t been the right team ever since. To make things more challenging going forward, five of the last seven games for the Cardinals will be played on the road.

1. Carolina Panthers

There’s no doubt about this one. The Panthers made history last season losing just one game all year before losing to the Denver Broncos in the Super Bowl. These Panthers are 2-5 with no sense of direction. Constant complaining, failure to block for Cam Newton and defensive breakdowns have highlighted this season for Ron Rivera’s squad. Apparently losing Josh Norman was worse than we all thought as the Panthers pass defense ranks a dreadful 30th in passing yards allowed. The Panthers better turn things around quick because the Atlanta Falcons are flying high.
