An alarming statement about wanting to erase a significant portion of Western Europe from the map was made by a Russian propagandist, The Daily Star reported.

Video taken from Russian state TV shows infamous Kremlin spokesman Vladimir Solovyov discussing the advantages of a Russian pre-emptive strike over a counter-strike with Russian Duma member Andrey Gurulyov.

"Macron supplies the tanks and we give them a preemptive strike against France as a party to the conflict," he said.

Gurulyov then issued a warning, saying that if France "harm[s] openly, fearing nothing," it will be seen as a part of the war.

He added, “there should be no France."

He also said, "there was France and now there is no France. Would anyone be upset about that?"

As reported by Newsweek, nice guy Gurulyov later said during the charming conversation that Russia was more than well enough endowed with ammunition to "destroy France or Britain."

The Ukrainian minister of internal affairs, Anton Gerashchenko, was the first to publish a video of the disgusting, apocalypse-hungry comments on Twitter.

He also shared another video featuring French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday, Jan. 9, in which Macron said that "when you meet (Putin), he is not unpleasant."

"That's the paradox, you see. I think there is nothing to justify starting a war. He tried to explain that Ukraine threatened him, then through Ukraine, the Europeans and Americans threatened Russia's security," he added.

"I don't think that's true," he continued.

He also said, "basically, he launched this war to recover territories and to extend Russia's perimeter to the empire that once existed."

In contrast to many of his NATO allies, Macron has already been open in support of preparing for negotiations with Russia. He talked about making preparations on the matters that can be executed and also about providing assurances to Russia when it comes back for negotiations.

He said, “we need to prepare what we are ready to do, how we protect our allies and member states, and how to give guarantees to Russia the day it returns to the negotiating table".
