A bizarre video footage appeared to show an unidentified flying object (UFO) moving across the night sky in Missouri.

The Sun reported that Melissa Bates, of Farmington, said that she saw a bright light coming in and out of focus for one hour. It was just days after her friend apparently saw a glow in the sky. A video, which was shot on May 16, showed a bright ball of light moving across the sky, and around 30 seconds later, it seemed to change direction. Bates was left baffled as she tried to figure out what the ball was. She said that the object did not move with intent it seemed, and she still didn't have a clue what it was.

Several people were spooked on seeing the bright ball of light in night sky in Missouri.

In recent months, dozens of apparent UFO sightings have been reported across America. Kimberly Slover recorded a flaming disk hovering in California, and said that the disk may have had a hole in the middle. Victor Chavez, her friend, thought that it was a spaceship.

Meatpacking plant worker Conner, from Amarillo, Texas, was on a night shift when he reportedly saw a streak of light. He said that he felt compelled to make a video of the lightning storm that was unfolding. Conner said that he didn't know what the streak of light was, but assumed that in best case scenario, it was a meteor because he had never seen one. He added, "And worst-case scenario, an alien invasion.”

In March, Lily Nova, of St. Louis, Missouri, claimed that she sees aliens on a regular basis. She apparently spotted her first UFO during the Covid lockdowns.

While there are some who believe in extraterrestrial beings, there are sceptics as well who said that the reason why humans haven’t found aliens yet is simply because they don’t exist. Even if they did, they might not be the intelligent beings that people imagine them to be, reported Daily Star.

On the other hand, others argued that aliens already exist among us on Earth. But they are simply in hiding or in disguise. Astronomer Jacques Vallée is one of many experts supporting the interdimensional hypothesis. It suggests that aliens may exist in other "realities" or "dimensions" that are parallel to our own.

There's another theory that says that aliens once existed, but went extinct. Factors like climate change probably played a role in their extinction.

UFO Festival

A highly awaited US intelligence report on dozens of mysterious unidentified flying object sightings said most could not be explained, but did not rule out that some could be alien spacecraft. The report made no mention of the possibility of -or rule out - that some of the objects sighted could represent extra-terrestrial life. The military and intelligence community have conducted research on them as a potential threat. Photo by Patrick T. Fallon/AFP via Getty Images
