Pacers guard Victor Oladipo joins a full practice with G-League affiliate team Fort Wayne Mad Ants, giving him the opportunity to have lengthy practice – something that cannot be done in an ordinary day.

Per Shams Charania of The Athletic’s tweet, Indiana assigned the 27-year old guard to the Mad Ants as he continues making good progress from a knee injury that he suffered last season. This will be his first full-court practice since the injury.

According to Pacers coach Nate McMillan per IndyStar report, the 6-foot-4 guard participated in full-court 5-on-5 work in practice in St. Vincent Center with the G-League team as a part of his one-day assignment to the Mad Ants. He later clarified that his full-court practice isn’t a part of their monitored program for Oladipo’s knee recovery.

Other than Oladipo, Indiana is also playing the early parts of their early NBA campaign without four other players in the line-up. Guards Edmond and Jeremy Lamb are currently down with the former recovering from a non-displaced fracture on his right third metacarpal and set to be evaluated next week while the latter with a sprained left ankle.

Big man Myles Turner is also recovering from a right ankle sprain he got against Brooklyn Nets on October 30 and Goga Bitadze, the rookie out of Republic of Georgia, is still under the league’s concussion protocol.

Fans around the league cannot help but share on how they think would he fare if he actually suited up on an actual G-League game – and their stats may or may not surprise you.

The former Indiana University star has been on the rise with the Pacers after being shipped by the Oklahoma City Thunder two seasons ago for Paul George. He ruptured his quad tendon of his right knee during a fastbreak play against the eventual champions Toronto Raptors and had it surgically repaired days after.

Oladipo holds an average of 18.8 points, 5.6 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 1.7 steals in 36 games last season. He was also recalled to their main roster after practice.
