Telenovela fans cannot vote in the main categories of Premios TVyNovelas 2014, that is why the magazine created the Favoritos Del Público awards where viewers have the last word. Categories like Favorite Slap Scene, Favorite Finale and Favorite Kiss conform this special ceremony where fans voted through social networks for their favorite in each category. The big winners of the night were "Amores Verdaderos" with Erika Buenfil and Marjorie De Sousa taking multiple accolades during the special night that preludes the main event of tonight. "I am very happy, thank you to every one," Buenfil wrote on Twitter. "This triumph and my two awards are dedicated to the love of my life, my son Nicolás. My true love."

Erika Buenfil won Favorite Slap Scene with Marjorie De Sousa in a pivotal scene of "Amores Verdaderos." Buenfil also took home the award as Favorite Couple that she shared with her telenovela co-star Eduardo Yañez, who was not present. The same production won for Favorite Telenovela Finale where it competed against "Que Bonito Amor," "La Mujer Del Vendaval," "La Tempestad" and "Corazón Indomable. The soaps main villain, Marjorie De Sousa won in the Favorite Villain category as her Kendra Ferreti was one of the most despicable characters in television last year. Favorite Kiss was given to Livia Brito and Juan Diego Covarrubias, for their work on "De Que Te Quiero, Te Quiero." Fans also vote for the hottest actor and actress where Daniel Arenas and Ariadne Diaz took home the award for their work on "La Mujer del Vendaval" and "Corazón Indomable," respectively.

PremiosTVyNovelas 2014 main gala airs tonight where the most nominated telenovela of the night is "Mentir Para Vivir" with 14 nominations, closely followed by "Amores Verdaderos" with 13. ive telenovelas will be competing for the top accolade as Best Telenovela: "Amores Verdaderos," "Mentir Para Vivir," "Corazón Indomable," "Porque El Amor Manda" and "De Que Te Quiero, Te Quiero." Another very competitive category are the Best Lead Actress category with Ana Brenda, Mayrín Villanueva, Erika Buenfil and Blanca Sotohoping to take home the prize. In the Best Lead Actor category Sebastián Rulli, Juan Diego Covarrubias, David Zepeda and Daniel Arenas will be vying for that accolade.
