Marjorie De Sousa and Gabriel Soto were the hosts of Premios TVyNovelas 2016. The couple of actors had been involved in a rumored affair after a set of photos surfaced where Soto got handsy with the Venezuelan beauty.

De Sousa and Soto were announced to present the gala before the controversial images were published, so when the show started they addressed the white elephant in the room.

"Hello Gabriel, how are you," De Sousa asked nervously. Gabriel answered back, "fine and you." The awkwardness continued with De Sousa quipping, "long time no see." Soto asked her if she was nervous and she answered "no."

After the weird exchange they went on with the program. Watch the uneasy moment below and tell us what you think!

Marjorie De Sousa had already addressed the rumors after the photos went viral on social media. “I’m not that stupid, please! I have no need to go with a married man to a public beach and mess around," she said.

"People’s insults are not pretty, but you know what? I always say something good must be coming my way, maybe something bigger, which is why this is happening. God is making me stronger, and He is up there looking down, and He knows exactly how things are.”

Marjorie also added, "I really think you should look at yourself before judging someone else, because there are many things behind a person, so sometimes it’s best to stay quiet. I still love you very much and thank you for being there for me."

As for Gabriel Soto, his wife Geraldine Bazán came out to clear divorce rumors. “No, no, it’s too soon to talk about that. Honestly guys, you should know by now how these type of things are handled,” Bazán said.

“We are working on it as a family and that’s how it’s going to stay, were doing very well, we are happy, and working as a family, just as it should be.” She also added: "They are going to continue writing about it, as long this keeps happening, you [the media] keep feeding it."
