Prince Harry commented on the health of the Queen and opened up about his relationship with her Tuesday amid the ongoing Invictus Games in the Netherlands.

During an interview with Today co-anchor Hoda Kotb, Prince Harry talked about the quick visit he and his wife Meghan Markle paid to the Queen last week while taking a break from their promotions for the Invictus Games.

Prince Harry commented on his grandmother’s health after her recent COVID scare amid her advancing age. The health issue forced the monarch to lessen her workload, the BBC reported.

“Being with her, it was great,” he said. “It was just so nice to see her. She’s on great form.”

Prince Harry said that despite living in the United States with his family, he would still try to look out for the Queen’s safety.

“I’m just making sure that she’s, you know, protected and got the right people around her,” he said. “You know, home — home for me, now, is, you know, for the time being, in the states.”

Prince Harry has been in a public feud with the British royal family after leaving his duties as a royal and moving his family to the United States. He and his older brother, Prince William, reportedly got into a rift due to an issue involving their wives.

“We’ve been welcomed with open arms,” Prince Harry said of their move to the U.S. “[My family and I] got such a great community up in Santa Barbara.”

Prince Harry and Meghan will be in the Netherlands until the end of the Invictus Games, which will be on Friday.
