Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are preparing to live in Los Angeles, leaving their Royal life behind them in the UK. According to sources close to the couple, they do not wish to stay and live the life that Prince Charles planned for his son’s family many years ago.

Back in the 1980s, Prince Charles had chosen Herefordshire as the estate Prince Harry could use as his home for his family, Express reported. However, sources close to the royals have confirmed that he is not interested in staying in the UK and is in fact planning to move his family to Los Angeles.

The insider jokingly said that Prince Charles was expecting Prince Harry to marry a “Sloaney nursery teacher who would love nothing more than running an estate.” Markle, however, may not be interested in such a lifestyle. The source pointed out that the original plan now feels “deeply old-fashioned” and “unrealistic.”

The appeal of living in Los Angeles is evident for both Prince Harry and Markle. The two of them want to avoid the media spotlight that comes with being royals in the UK. A life in Los Angeles is a total contrast, where many celebrities are able to live a relatively normal life because they go largely unnoticed in public.

People close to the royal couple have confirmed that they are “speeding up plans” to move to America. Los Angeles is Markle’s birthplace, and she has many friends and family members there.

The Duke and Duchess have already “snubbed” Prince Charles suggestion for them to move into Herefordshire, Express reported. Friends and family members are apparently concerned that the rejection means the couple is moving to the U.S.

Markle’s mother Doria Ragland is in Los Angeles and she wants to spend more time with her grandson Archie. This is said to be one of the reason why the couple is planning to move. The other big reason is that they will be able to give their son a relatively normal life in America.
