Prince Harry was also a bad boy once. In his early twenties, his name constantly appeared on front pages due to his wild ways, and eventually he was labeled rebellious.

Princess Diana’s youngest son was not exactly “behaved” like the other members of the British royal family, and his demeanor was said to have resulted from the sudden death of his mother. As per Express, royal biographer Duncan Larcombe stated that Prince Harry became unruly and took a different path from his brother, Prince William, who was good in school and led a quieter life, because he lost his mother early.

“Prince Harry took the premature death of Princess Diana very hard and expressed his pain and sorrow by rejecting authority, shrugging off his school duties and hanging out with boys who were often in trouble,” the publication quoted Larcombe as saying.

The royal biographer further explained that Prince Harry suffered greatly from the loss, and he was just 12. The tragedy was so overwhelming for him to handle, and this triggered his rebellious side. Thus, his teenage years and twenties were very problematic.

“He reveled in being the class clown,” the author said. “Rather than befriend pupils who sat at the front of the class, handed their homework in on time and studied hard for exams, Harry chose to sit at the back, rarely finished his homework on time and the less said about his exams the better.”

At the age of 17, he admitted to smoking marijuana and heavy drinking, and Prince Charles immediately sent him to a drug rehabilitation center for treatment. After high school, Prince Harry was even more uncontrollable. He was a rebel and a royal bad boy, whose drunk photos were emblazoned on newspapers, magazines and TV news reports.

He partied hard, and this got him into more trouble. The most shocking of all his wild escapades was the infamous Vegas party, where Prince Harry got fully naked after playing strip billiards. His nude photos were leaked to the media, and this incident reportedly became a wake-up call for the young prince.

He was so embarrassed that he deleted his Facebook account. And two weeks after his naked photos turned into an international scandal, the prince realized that he should begin rebuilding his public image before the royal family suffers more damage. He went to Afghanistan and served as an Apache helicopter pilot.

After serving in the army, he came back and was determined to show the world that he is not the same prince they knew. Today, Prince Harry is one of the most admired members of the royal family, and the people love him.
