Prince William And Kate Middleton To 'Break Christmas Tradition' And Make Announcements About 2020 Plans

Prince William and Kate Middleton are set to make a big announcement this Christmas season. It remains unknown what their big announcement will be all about, but rumor has it that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have already broken the “news” to those at Kensington Palace.

“There was a briefing at Kensington Palace just this week where they gave us a number of new announcements that will be coming out over the holiday period,” said royal commentator Omid Scobie. The royal expert said that Prince William and Kate have intended to make the announcement during the season as it is usually a quiet time for the royal family.

“It’s a smart decision, it’s a quiet time of the year,” he said. “It is a great time to announce things. We will be hearing about a new initiative from Prince William and some other news as well,” he added.

According to the royal commentator, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will break away from tradition in the coming weeks as they make the big announcement. While speculations are rife that the announcement will have to do with Kate’s rumored pregnancy, some believe it’s going to be about their schedule for 2020.

Scobie previously revealed that 2020 is going to be an especially big year for the Duchess of Cambridge as she gets involved in many projects. “Next year is a big one for Kate,” he said. “She is going to be really focused on her early years of development. That is something she has been involved in for a long time now,” he added.

It can be recalled that last month, Kensington Palace announced that Prince William and Kate would take advantage of the Christmas season to project their children forward. The royal couple also reportedly intend to steal the show from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who would be absent for the holidays as they spend the season in Los Angeles.

“The Sussexes aren’t going to be there, so this may be an opportunity for the Cambridges to project their children forward,” said Camilla Tominey when she guested on This Morning recently. During her appearance on the show, she predicted that Prince William and Kate’s children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, would step out in public with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on Christmas Day.
