For all the royal fans, we have some intel for you and it's about Queen Elizabeth. Thanks to the new book by Angela Kelly, The Other Side of the Coin: The Queen, the Dresser and the Wardrobe, we have discovered a few tidbits related to the Queen's personal life.

Since Kelly is also Queen's friend and her dressmaker, we can be rest assured that these morsels of gossip are all true. The tea? Well, just like the rest of us, the Queen does her own makeup. Yes! No makeup artist is helping her out.

But, according to Angela Kelly, there is an exception. The Queen hires a makeup artist, Marilyn Widdess, only for one special event in a year and that is the yearly Christmas Speech and, the rest of the days? She does her makeup on her own. Kelly wrote, "You might be surprised to know that this is the only occasion throughout the year when Her Majesty does not do her own makeup."

So, the Queen not only represents her country, heads her family, but also does her daily makeup perfectly. She is definitely one-of-a-kind!

The book is yet to be released. However, the publication shares these snippets of information, teasing the fans and keeping them longing for more.

Recently, the dresser shared an anecdote from the book with Hello Magazine. Kelly said that she once got the Queen her tax refund on fabrics. She revealed that the Queen supports the local people and artists wherever she goes. However, whenever they visit Singapore, they have their own tradition.

Since there is no time to always go to the market, the local tradespeople bring the lovely Singaporean Silk stalls to the airport.

"We wander through the stalls – Her Majesty leading the way, followed by me and the Ladies-in-Waiting. Something will catch the Queen's eye – usually a vibrant fabric, given her fondness for bright colours – and she'll gesture to me. Our selections are always ready for collection on our return when it's my responsibility to pay the bill."

Once when Kelly was finishing the purchases, a stall owner told her how she could claim a tax refund. And, since the Queen is always keen on keeping the costs down, Kelly went in search of someone who could help. But, while she was getting the tax back, a royal member ushered her straight to the plane as it was going to take off any moment.

Kelly said that she was so thrilled about the refund, she shouted over the noise of the engine and told the Queen "I've got your tax back!" And, she further adds, "The look on the Queen's face was priceless as I handed her the tax refund."
