If you want an easy appetizer or side dish, then it doesn't get easier than this recipe by Chef James Tahhan. The recipe is filled with veggies and requires only one tool: a slowcooker. The bulk of the recipe are chickpeas which are nutritious and delicious and the addition of garlic and smoked paprika provides the perfect kick of flavor.


     2 cans of chickpeas
     2 Spanish chorizos
     1 onion
     2 carrots
     2 bay leaves
     3 cloves of garlic
     1 tablespoon smoked paprika
     1 teaspoon tomato paste


Place all the ingredients in a slow cooker and let cook for about 3 hours.
