From the outside, it may look like the British royal family’s life is an open book to commoners. In reality, however, what people know about them is just the tip of the iceberg. There is more about this family to be fascinated about than their wealth, stunning wardrobe and social status.

Truth be told, the royal family is also a bunch of extremely talented individuals who can do more things than people credit them for. Here are the hidden talents of the royal family that you probably never heard of before.

Queen Elizabeth

Queen Elizabeth is not only an accomplished videographer. During World War II, the 18-year-old-then princess worked on cars. She joined the Women’s Auxiliary Territorial Service to train not only as a mechanic but also as a truck driver. An accomplished mimic, she also has the ability to do an accurate impression of people based on their accent.

Kate Middleton

The Duchess of Cambridge is an incredibly talented lady. Aside from being able to play tennis, hockey and netball, she can also sail. In 2014, she showcased her sailing skills in New Zealand, when she raced against Prince William in Auckland Harbour. She also takes photos and plays the flute like a pro.

Prince Charles

The Prince of Wales followed the footsteps of his great-great grandmother, Queen Victoria, who was also an artist. When he was young, Prince Charles was taught by some of the finest art masters of Britain. While he considers himself an amateur, he reportedly sells some of his watercolor artworks.

Meghan Markle

Everybody knows Meghan Markle as a talented actress, but she’s more than just that. This artistically inclined lady is also gifted in calligraphy, which she learned at a very young age. In fact, she was commissioned by Robin Thicke to do calligraphy for his wedding invitations. The Duchess of Sussex is also a self-confessed foodie and food blogger. No wonder one of her first projects as a royal was to come up with a cookbook.

Prince Harry And Prince William

People know the brothers for their prince charming aura and finesse, but behind their good looks are two talented men. Both dukes can pilot a helicopter and play the polo like a pro.
