Watch: Russia Test-Launches New ‘Satan 2’ Intercontinental Ballistic Missile BarBus/Pixabay

Russia’s RS-28 Sarmat or Satan 2 missile is said to be capable of wiping the U.K. off the face of the planet in less than six minutes as the world-ending weapon can travel up to a speed of 16,000mph. Politician Aleksey Zhuralov previously threatened to nuke the U.K. in minutes with the Satan-2 hypersonic missile and boasted that it could destroy Finland in 10 minutes. Russia earlier flaunted that the beast of a missile can carry up to 15 warheads and drop multiple nukes in a single, devastating strike, and would be fully operational by the end of the year.

According to The Sun, the missile’s second test has been the subject of rumor, which speaks of embarrassing delays in the 200-ton rocket’s production. A Russian defense ministry spokesperson told state news that the missile’s flight-design test may continue before the end of the year with a second test launch to be conducted.

Its first test that occurred in April with results calling it a success. Russian President Vladimir Putin claimed their new toy can “break through any defenses” and would force Russia’s antagonists to think twice before threatening the country. The test launch footage showed the 115ft missile being propelled from an underground silo, leaving an enormous fireball in its wake. Back in May, Dimitry Rogozin, the former director of the Russian space agency Roscosmo claimed that almost 50 Satan-2 missiles were already in mass production and will soon be combat effective. He boasted that the missile can demolish “half of the U.S. Coast” in an ominous slide show presented to schoolchildren.

In an online rant during a NATO summit, Rogozin threatened to launch multiple strikes on Downing Street and the White House. Another test for the Satan-2 is planned for June, as locals near the Kura test range were advised to stay clear from the target site in the remote area of Kamchatka.

Meanwhile, Russia plans to deploy its new super-soldier battle suit to Ukraine with tests already in the works. The announcement was made by the Russian President himself, following a drop in troop morale in the Ukraine front due to scant equipment and supplies. The high-tech exoskeleton is said to give its wearer near superhuman strength, deadly accuracy from long distances, and the ability to run faster speeds for longer periods of time.
