The Russian Foreign Ministry is livid at the alleged accusations hurled at President Vladimir Putin by his U.S. counterpart Joe Biden. Biden allegedly called Vladimir a “killer” and mentioned that Putin would “pay a price” for his undue interference in the 2020 U.S. elections.

“The Russian ambassador in Washington, Anatoly Antonov, has been invited to come to Moscow for consultations conducted with the aim of analyzing what should be done and where to go in the context of ties with the United States,” stated the Russian Foreign Ministry in a statement, according to reports as cited in New York Post.

A murky controversy followed shortly after Biden’s explosive interview on ABC’s “Good Morning America” with host George Stephanopoulos was aired, which saw the U.S. president made a spate of caustic comments on the Russian president, following the release of a declassified report from the Director of National Intelligence that indicated Kremlin’s strong interference in the presidential election.

“He will pay a price. We had a long talk, he and I, I know him relatively well,” said Biden. “And the conversation started off, I said, ‘I know you and you know me. If I establish this occurred, then be prepared.’Look, the most important thing dealing with foreign leaders in my experience — and I’ve dealt with an awful lot in my career — just know the other guy,” he added.

Biden also opined that he always thought Putin is a killer, by responding to a question pertaining to the same as “I do.”

Biden said while conversing with the Russian leader at some point in the past, he said, “’I looked through your eyes, and I don’t think you have a soul,’ ” to which Putin apparently responded. “We understand each other.”
