While the Seattle Seahawks continue to win football games on a consistent basis, NFC West rival St. Louis finds themselves at the bottom of the competitive division. The Seahawks currently pace the four-team group with an overall record of 6-1. Followed closely by the San Francisco 49ers (6-2 overall) and the Arizona Cardinals (4-4 overall), Seattle remains one of the most balanced teams in the league, solidifying their status as one of the premier squads in the NFL. Leading the league in rushing yards per game with over 150 per contest, Seattle's defense has also proven to be a top weapon as the Seahawks are currently third in opponent passing yards and seventh in opponent rushing yards.

Set to take on a Rams team that has been competitive at times this season, the Seahawks will certainly like their chances to add another win especially since St. Louis will be without starting quarterback Sam Bradford. Bradford was lost for the season after suffering a torn ACL in last weekend's loss to the Carolina Panthers. Sidelined for the remaining nine games, Bradford will now be forced to watch as back-up Kellen Clemens takes over the full-time QB duties. As a precaution, St. Louis brought in former University of Notre Dame standout Brady Quinn along with last year's third string quarterback Austin Davis. Knowing his team will have to find a way to earn victories without their every-down signal caller, Rams head coach Jeff Fisher notes that the injury is particularly difficult to deal with because Bradford - the 2008 Heisman Trophy winner while at Oklahoma University - was playing at a high level.

"He was playing very, very well, not only yesterday but was just improving weekly," Fisher said after last weekend's 30-15 loss to Carolina. "The challenge is obvious in this world when you have an impact player go down."

Desperate for a quick fix under center, St. Louis even reached out to now-retired Brett Favre, who last played for the Minnesota Vikings in 2010. At the age of 44, Favre told the organization that he is perfectly happy with life after football. Currently serving as a coach at Oak Grove High School in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Favre said that he was flattered the team considered him as Bradford's injury replacement but respectfully declined the offer.

"It's flattering, but you know there's no way I'm going to do that," Favre told reporters recently. "I don't remember my daughter playing soccer, playing youth soccer, one summer. I don't remember that. I got a pretty good memory, and I have a tendency like we all do to say, 'Where are my glasses?' and they're on your head. This was pretty shocking to me that I couldn't remember my daughter playing youth soccer, just one summer, I think. I remember her playing basketball, I remember her playing volleyball, so I kind of think maybe she only played a game or two. I think she played eight. So that's a little bit scary to me. For the first time in 44 years, that put a little fear in me. I think after 20 years, God only knows the toll."
