A recent sit-down conversation with Aaron Hernandez’s former fiancée Shayanna Jenkins-Hernandez saw Jenkins-Hernandez address the speculations surrounding Aaron’s sexuality.

In a first of sorts, Jenkins-Hernandez spoke up in detail about her thoughts on Aaron’s closeted sexuality to Amy Robach, which aired on “Good Morning America” on Wednesday. Opining how it was unfair to decipher much in the absence of the person in question, the 30-year-old opined, “You can’t describe someone’s sexuality without them being here. Although I have a child with Aaron, I still can’t tell you how he was feeling inside. No one can.”

The explosive interview came weeks after the release of much-talked-about Netflix docuseries, “Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez” The three-part documentary, which premiered on January 15, sprouted after a rather startling revelation made by Dennis SanSoucie, one of Hernandez’s high school teammates. SanSoucie alleged that the torrid affair which began in the seventh grade was carried on up until their junior year.

While there’s still ambiguity on that front, Jenkins-Hernandez stated that even if an iota of what was reported held some truth; she’d only wish for him to have opened up to her. “If he did feel that way, or if he felt the urge, I wish that I was told. I wish that he would have told me because I wouldn’t have loved him any differently. I would have understood. It’s not shameful,” she said, during the interview.

Adding how someone’s sexuality was purely their own business; she expressed her desire to turn back the hands of time, and wished to have had that old last conversation with him. “I don’t think anybody should feel shameful for who they are inside regardless of who they love. I think it’s a beautiful thing,” Jenkins-Hernandez said. “I wish I could tell him that,” she added.

Jenkins- Hernandez, who’s planning to quit Instagram for a while, added that she’s forever grateful for the love and support. “I wanted to let all of you sweet sweet souls know I have tried to read every message sent on IG and through email (positive and negative),” she wrote. “The amount of support and positive energy is again unreal! I’m sure you will all understand how imperative it is to take some time away from social media,” she stated in a post, which was out soon after “The Killer Inside…” released.
