A couple of weeks ago, pictures of the actresses auditioning for the role of “María” in the remake of the 1980’s telenovela “Simplemente María” started circulating on the Internet. Among the favorites were Adriana Louvier, Danna García, Thelma Madrigal, and Claudia Álvarez, who ended up getting the role as it was announced today.

However, everyone’s talking about another actress who was also being considered for the role, Ariadne Díaz. A couple of days ago, the actress announced on Twitter that she was stepping out from the audition process: “Thanks to all my #arifans for your support, but due to other commitments I can’t continue with auditions for #SimplementeMaria.”

According to “Suelta La Sopa,” Ariadne’s decision might’ve had something to do with the fact that things did not end up well between her and the original “María,” Victoria Ruffo, after working together on “La Malquerida.” Even though neither of them admitted a battle of egos, they have stated that the relationship they have is strictly professional and there is no friendship between them.

Watch the declarations the actresses made on “Suelta La Sopa” when they were confronted about the subject on the video below.
