New York Police Department is investigating six attacks that took place at four different Bronx synagogues between Friday and Sunday.

Two of the attacks happened on Friday, three on Saturday and one on Sunday, said NYPD Detective Francis Sammon, as reported by CNN.

The synagogues attacked include the Riverdale Jewish Center and the Riverdale Jewish Synagogue, with each being attacked two times. Young Israel of Riverdale and the Conservative Synagogue Adath Israel of Riverdale were each attacked once, Sammon said.

The police is working on identification of the suspect. The surveillance footage shows a person throwing rocks at the synagogues, breaking windows.

All the attacks took place after dark, in the late night and early morning hours of the day, Sammon said.

A tweet posted on Sunday on behalf of NYPD Hate Crimes read, "We are investigating: April 24th, approx. 10:45 PM, a male threw objects at windows of the Young Israel of Riverdale Synagogue, 4502 Henry Hudson Pkwy, Bronx causing glass to shatter. Info about this or several similar incidents in the area call or DM @NYPDTips 1-800-577-TIPS."

No injuries were reported.

"We are thankful that no one was hurt on either occasion," read a statement from the Riverdale Jewish Center.

"The fact that someone would specifically and repeatedly target houses of worship is of great distress to us all. An act of hate such as this is simply unacceptable ... We hope that the perpetrator of these crimes will be apprehended swiftly and justice will be served to the fullest extent of the law."

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo condemned the attacks on two of the synagogues. "I was appalled by a report that an individual threw rocks at glass windows and doors in two Bronx synagogues, smashing and breaking them," he said in a statement.

"We have no tolerance for discriminatory acts that seek to divide us rather than bring us together."

Mayor Bill de Blasio tweeted on Sunday that the NYPD's Hate Crimes Task Force "has a solid lead on the vile acts of anti-Semitism in the Bronx and we will take swift action against the perpetrators."

In the reports shared by the NYPD, it was described that a single person was responsible for each of the attacks, reported NBC New York.
