It is no big secret that Taylor Swift’s much-awaited “TS7” album has been hyped heavily over the past few months. After the countdown to April 26 was teased by the music star, people have been widely speculating on the release of the album and her new songs.

Swift’s Teaser Revelation

It all started with her Instagram post on April 13, when she posted a picture of a pink heart with the caption “4.26.” After a countdown timer to the said date appeared on Swift’s website, Swifties — the collective name adapted by Taylor Swift fans — thought that this would be the release date of her new album. However, come the expected date, what greeted everyone was Swift’s “ME!” music video, which features Brendon Urie.

Fans noted her hair’s pink highlights on the video and how it all connected to her surprising hairstyle change at the iHeart Radio Music Awards last March. Adding her interview with Entertainment Weekly — where she shared that she first visually teased the album via her nail polish — Swifties have been scavenging for clues everywhere possible.

Blue Is The Color

While her pink highlights were the talk of the internet, Swift’s fans focused more on the dramatic hair color change toward the end of the video. After flipping her hair in the end of the “ME!” music video, her highlights turned blue. Although some considered it as merely an artistic expression, Swifties believe it to be another clue on the next release.

Much like when Swift kept her pink highlights after the iHeart Radio Music Awards, Swift now still sports the blue highlights. Before an interview with Ellen Degeneres on “The Ellen Show” last week, she posted an Instagram story that displayed her current highlights. Swifties are now gushing over the color, claiming blue to be a clue to her next release.

“Her blue hair! [Blue Heart Emoji] the next single is coming soon [Looking Eyes Emoji],” a Swift fan posted on Twitter.

Some fans theorize that the next music video release will start with Swift and her current hair color, which would take place presumably as a continuation of the “ME!” music video. There is currently no official release date for her highly awaited album. All we can do now is wait for the next set of clues.
