'Te extraño con el alma desgarrada,' Maribel Guardia Pays Tribute to Son Who Died at Age 27

Costa Rican actor Maribel Guardia lost her son a few weeks ago.

Julián Figueroa, who died at the age of 27 would have celebrated his 28th birthday on Tuesday.

Guardia remembered her beloved son with a loving and moving message.

She posted on Instagram a picture of her and her son together and captioned it in Spanish:

"#felizcumpleaños🎂♥️🎈🎁 @julian_f.f Hijo amado, en este 2 de mayo cumplirías 28 años. Te extraño con el alma desgarrada. Quizá soy egoísta porque estás en un mejor sitio, cerquita de Dios, pero mi corazón todavía no entiende de planos etéreos. Me quedo con tantos recuerdos inolvidables.

Aunque hay momentos en que no logro respirar y me tiemblan las piernas, recuerdo que tuve la suerte de ser tu mamá por el tiempo que Dios quiso, recuerdo que tuve el privilegio de conocer tu alma llena de luz, tu aguda inteligencia, tu negro sentido del humor, tu talento y tu música.

Nos dejaste tu carne y tu sangre en ese nieto hermoso en el que puedo mirar tus ojos."

Guardia also previously shared that she is keeping her son's ashes at her home. She also shared that her son was found unconscious at his home the day he died with no signs of foul play.

Figueroa's wife also shared an emotional birthday post on Instagram and captioned it in Spanish:

"Feliz cumpleaños de aquí al cielo 💙🙏🏻 Me da paz saber que te fuiste pacíficamente, soñando con esa imaginación tan grande que tenías🙌 siempre te voy a amar y sé que siempre me cuidarás desde donde estés!
Aquí festejaremos tu vida 🎉🎉"

The picture showed both of them posing together.
