An East Texas teen girl, who was allegedly abducted by her father -- a registered sex offender -- was found safe Monday, said authorities.

The Rains County Sheriff’s Office shared that the authorities found Lexus Gray, 14, with her father, 40-year-old Justin Shaun Gray, in Mineral Wells.

Justin was taken into custody, authorities said, reported The Dallas Morning News.

He kidnapped his daughter Wednesday in Point, which is about 55 miles east of Dallas, said the sheriff’s office.

The non-custodial father of the teen assaulted and chased her mother with a knife during the abduction, the authorities said.

In 2009, Justin was convicted of two counts of sexual assault of a child and one count of indecency with a child by sexual contact. He is currently wanted on a parole violation warrant, authorities said.

Following the abduction, Lexus' mother, Jennifer Bean, told CNN by Facebook Messenger, "I want (L)exie to know we love her very much and want her to come home ... her brother and sister miss her as well."

In her description on Facebook it was mentioned that Lexus is 5-foot-6 inches, 160 pounds, has blond hair and hazel eyes.

The news of her abduction spread online and many people expressed concern.

"Okay, this most recent amber alert is serious. They’re saying she’s in our area DFW. Lexus Nichole Gray 14 kidnapped by her non custodial father WHO IS A REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER. I hope he doesn’t touch her but she’s been gone for 4 days," one tweeted.

Another wrote, "this is out of the ordinary but please share or rt or whatever. a girl has been kidnapped from point texas and is with her non custodial father whos a registered sex offender. this is the least i could do. please help save this kid."

Once the news of Lexus' safety emerged, netizens breathed a sigh of relief.

"Thank you God for answering my prayers," one tweeted.

In a similar case earlier this month, a 10-year-old Texas girl was found safe after her mother was found murdered in Carrollton, about 30 minutes north of Dallas, reported ABC13.

The Carrollton Police Department said at the time that Rosemary Lee Singer was located with her father Ronald Singer, who was taken into custody. He was charged in the murder of Rosemary's mother, Maria Romero Ramos. Police did not divulge the details on how the child and her dad were found.
