According to a new rumor, Tom Cruise’s son Connor is cutting ties from his dad and leaving Scientology. The tabloid report, however, is not true, and the claims it has made have all been debunked.

The rumor suggested that Cruse gave his son a bedroom to stay in his penthouse apartment in Clearwater, Florida. However, Connor chose to live in another building because the one his father chose is being used by the Church of Scientology. The reason why he is leaving the religion is that the rules he has to follow in it are a “drag” for a young person like him.

The tabloid went on to claim that Connor is dating a non-Scientologist, and he is pursuing an “outside interest,” which is working on a fishing boat. The rumor has been debunked by Gossip Cop.

The report pointed out that Connor has been living in a Scientology community in Clearwater for the past few years, which means the claim of Cruise giving his son a bedroom to stay and his son moving out is false. Also, the rumor appears to have no idea about how Scientology works because there is no restriction on working on fishing boats. In fact, the Hollywood star even bought his son a fishing boat after learning about his interest, so there is no reason to consider it an “outside interest.”

Connor is also dating someone who grew up with Scientology. So, the question of him leaving and dating someone from another religion are also false.

Cruise and his son are so close and deeply involved in Scientology together that a source close to them told People a few days back that the Hollywood star and his son were in London to attend a Scientology event together. This proves that Connor is still a follower, and his relationship with his dad continues to be strong.
