You are now reading this because you have been jonesing for some whole and hearty Top Gear BBC ever since Season 18 went off the air in March 2012.
Thankfully, the boys are finally back -- trio Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May (plus the Stig) returns for Season 19, which will air on January 27. So what have they been up to after nearly a 10 month hiatus?
If you are not a fan of spoilers, look away now.
Many media outlets have managed to dig up some revealing information about the new season. According to the BBC, Top Gear and tweets from @JeremyClarkson, highlights include another road trip across the United States, a new expedition in the African continent, an exciting race between an American musclecar and a train, and finally a number of absurd challenges that are along the same vein as amphibious cars and the Top Gear caravan challenge.
For the American tour, Clarkson, Hammond, and May will be driving halo GT cars from different continents -- the latest SRT Viper and Aston Martin Vanquish, as well as the older Lexus LFA supercar. The three will be crossing the Nevada desert towards the Mexican border. Interestingly, two of the three supercars boasts an uncommon naturally-aspirated V10 engine.
In the Africa tour, the presenters each buy a station wagon for less than £1500 and must drive to the source of the Nile. The three presenters chose a BMW 5-Series touring, a Volvo 850 and a Subaru Impreza WRX.
Remember when the Nissan GTR raced against a bullet train through Japan and when the Aston Martin DB9 raced the Eurostar train to Monte Carlo? The latest challenge will pit Clarkson and a bonkers Shelby Mustang GT500 against Hammond and May in a train from Wembley to a soccer match in Milan.
The season's road tests will include a Toyota GT-86, a Pagani Huarya, and a head-to-head against the biggest names in the hot hatch biz -- Ford Focus ST, Renault Megane RenaultSport Cup 265, and Opel Astra VXR.
Jeremy Clarkson will also be participating in an outrageous challenge where he will test drive a vehicle designed by the automotive design students of Coventry University. Tasked the build the smallest car possible, the university team will create a car even smaller that the Peel P50.
Last but not least, James May gets a gentlemen's lesson in rallying in a Bentley Continental GT. And his teacher? Ex-Mini WRC driver Kris Meeke.
Okay, now you may return.
