A 75-year-old man from Florida finds himself in a deep hole, an issue that started from a Joe Biden flag. The man got upset and started to verbally abuse a neighbor over at 1305 Marquette Boulevard. Things just escalated from there, even when Lee County Sheriff officers arrived.

Per the official report, the man identified as Edward Lacourse started to verbally attack the victims because of a Biden flag on their property. For 18 years, the neighbors have never spoken to each other.

When things got heated, Lacourse allegedly pointed a shotgun at one of the neighbors. It was here where one of them ran inside the home to call the authorities.

Deputies arrived at the scene and knocked on Lacourse’s door. When the 75-year-old opened the door, he reportedly ordered his dogs to “kill” or attack the officers. The deputies later managed to secure the shotgun and found a round in the chamber and three rounds in the tube, WBBH reported.

Lacourse was arrested on Monday but was released the following day on a $5,000 bond. However, the 75-year-old is now facing aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without the intent to kill.

This incident is proof of the growing political divide in the United States tied to the recent US Presidential elections. Politically motivated violence has spiked in recent months with Donald Trump claiming election fraud. Most will recall that one of the unforgettable moments was the Jan. 6 US Capitol siege which claimed several lives.

But there were troubling cases even before the Capitol insurrection. In October, a man was wearing a Trump hat caught on camera pulling out a gun and pointing it towards protesters during a political demonstration in Woodinville, Washington.

It was allegedly a reaction when a bucket of liquid was thrown at them by supporters. From there, other political-related events followed, most of which have been shared on social media.
