Trump Warns Bruce Springsteen to 'Keep His Mouth Shut' After Rocker Criticized His Administration on Stage: 'We'll See How It Goes For Him'

President Donald Trump lashed out at legendary rocker Bruce Springsteen early Friday morning following the musician's blistering critique of Trump during the kickoff of his "Land of Hopes and Dreams" tour.

Springsteen told a packed crowd in London that Trump was "treasonous," and "unfit for office," warning of the dangers of authoritarianism. Trump fired back on Truth Social Friday morning, launching into a scathing personal attack.

"Never liked him, never liked his music, or his Radical Left Politics and importantly, he's not a talented guy," Trump wrote. "Just a pushy, obnoxious JERK."

"This dried out 'prune' of a rocker (his skin is all atrophied!) ought to KEEP HIS MOUTH SHUT until he gets back into the Country, that's just 'standard fare,'" he continued, ominously adding: "Then we'll all see how it goes for him!"

"Bruce launched this run of shows with three statements about the situation in the United States," his website states, along with a transcription of his comments.

Trump's resentment for the activist rockstar has been years in the making. In 2016, Trump used Springsteen's song "Born in the USA" at a campaign rally, and though Springsteen did not join other artists who took legal action against Trump for the unauthorized use of their music, "The Boss" began campaigning for rival candidate Hillary Clinton.

The star went on to support former President Joe Biden on the campaign trail, and then former Vice President Kamala Harris. In 2024, he called Trump "the most dangerous candidate for president in my lifetime."

Springsteen has not publicly responded to Trump's tirade against him. With his European tour scheduled to run through July, it remains unclear whether he will face any obstacles re-entering the U.S.
