
The USA will play in their fourth Women’s World Cup 2015 final after beating two-times winners Germany at the Olympic Stadium in Montreal on Tuesday at 7:00 pm. It was a hard-fought semifinal encounter played out in front of a partisan crowd of more than 50, 000. Game was tie until Germany striker Celia Sasic missed a penalty on 58 minutes, after 10 minutes captain Carli Lloyd kept her head to score from the spot to inspired Americans to go forward and get 2-0 final.
This was a semifinal with two high level teams playing against each other. But USA gets a huge victory to earn once again a place in the Women’s World Cup final against either Japan or England on Sunday in Vancouver.
