The United States men’s national team will on the field for the first time since their big disappointing loss during the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2015 a month away. The bars and stars team will face Peru during an international friendly game on Friday at RFK Stadium in Washington DC, USA.

Jurgen Klinsmann’s side has plenty of concerns at the moment, but a win over the third place finisher at the Copa America would help ease the nerves a bit ahead of October 10’s CONCACAF Cup tie versus Mexico. However, the team visitor, Peru, doesn’t have a major competition in sight at the moment, but they are trying to keep the momentum they gained in Chile against the USA and Colombia in the United Sates over the next week.

The American team is in need of a victory before their difficult showdown with Brazil on Tuesday, which will be their final contest before facing Mexico in October for the pass to Confederation cup. Midfielder and defender DeAndre Yedlin, who recently completed a loan move from Tottenham Hotspur to Suderland, summed up the mentality of the group. In order to win the game, forward Jozy Altidore will need to step up in the absence of Clint Dempsey and Michel Brandley to score.

On the Peru’s biggest strengths will face the USA’s main weakness tonight. Led by Jefferson Farfan and Paolo Guerrero, Peru will look to use their pace and skill to open up holes in the USA defense.

USA is betting favorite at -1 over and under is 2 goals against Peru. Tonight Friday September 4 at 7 pm ET at RFK Stadium at Washington DC you can watch live stream the game for Fox Sports 1, Fox soccer 2go.
