According to reports, the two decided to see each other personally last year to talk about their children. That was the first time they met again since the divorce announcement in 2016, and it reportedly turned out to be a “tense” encounter.

Since Pitt and Jolie split, the two have discussed things through their lawyers. However, Pitt reportedly grew tired and frustrated with how long the divorce process was taking, so he decided to discuss things directly with his ex.

“He was hoping to come to some compromise with Angelina,” a source revealed. “He is exhausted and was hoping to tackle things directly with Angelina in person,” the source added, saying that Pitt was so eager to bring their expensive divorce war to an end so they could both move on with their lives.

On their first meeting since Jolie filed for divorce, Pitt and Jolie were in the same room in a Beverly Hills office for a three-hour meeting. According to an insider, what brought the two together after two years was their kids. At the time of their meeting, there was already an ongoing discussion about their children and their nannies, which Jolie employed to accompany them during their visits to Pitt.

“Brad’s lawyer has concerns about that, and they’re trying to come to an agreement as far as guidelines,” the insider revealed. The insider said that the reason Jolie looked visibly upset during the meeting was because they were also trying to reach a financial settlement in their divorce.

Pitt was allegedly just as upset as Jolie as he was seen pacing back and forth outside the office. Evidently, photos of the two during the meeting showed the exes “acting somber.” Months after their meeting, they reached a custody agreement where Pitt got an increase in custodial time with their children.
