Why Kate Middleton Was ‘Overprotective’ Of Charlotte But Not Of George And Louis

Kate Middleton seemed to be a little too protective of her only daughter, Princess Charlotte, shortly after she was born. However, the reason behind her action had nothing to do with the fact that she only has one daughter and two sons.

According to the Daily Telegraph, the Duchess of Cambridge kept worrying about Princess Charlotte shortly after she stepped out of St. Mary’s Hospital’s Lindo Wing to introduce the infant to the entire world. A video of Kate talking to Prince William while standing in front of a massive group of photographers has just been unearthed.

In the clip, the doting mom is trying to keep a smile on her face, but she was also telling her husband something. It has now been revealed that Kate was worried that Princess Charlotte might have been feeling cold at that time.

Prince William assured his wife that Princess Charlotte was doing fine. After all, she was wrapped in a swaddle and a blanket, and she also had a bonnet on. But despite the Duke of Cambridge’s assurance, Kate still urged him to take their daughter inside.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge weren’t able to give an interview after Princess Charlotte’s birth. However, the doting dad was able to talk about the birth of his first child, Prince George, just two years earlier.

“I think more shock was the feeling I felt, but I was on such a high anyway, and so was Catherine, about George that really we were happy to show him off to whoever wanted to see him,” Prince William told CNN. “As any new parent knows, you're only too happy to show off your new child and, you know, proclaim that he is the best looking or the best everything. It’s nice that people want to see George,” he added.

Meanwhile, Kate is not the only member of the royal family who has been accused of being overprotective. Royal critics claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are doing the same with their son, Archie Harrison.

Following Archie’s birth, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex decided to keep his christening a secret. They also rarely post their son’s photos on social media.
