Since starring together in “A Star Is Born,” fans have been shipping Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper so hard. Rumors about them having a thing for each other grew even more intense after Cooper confirmed his split from his longtime partner Irina Shayk. But while Lady Gaga and Cooper’s on-screen chemistry is undeniable, Lady Gaga has made it clear that she’s not interested in dating her co-star.

After fans saw them perform “Shallow” at this year’s Oscars together, everyone just wished that their insane chemistry onscreen was for real. Around that time, rumors were swirling around that the two were having a secret love affair and that they were only denying it because they did not want to share their personal lives to the public.

But What People Saw Was Pure Acting

In an interview with Jimmy Kimmel, the “Bad Romance” singer said what people saw between her and Cooper was pure acting. She also denied that they were in love with each other and that she was dating Cooper.

“First of all, social media, quite frankly, is the toilet of the internet,” Lady Gaga said. “And what it has done to pop culture is just, like, abysmal. Yes, people saw love, and guess what — that’s what we wanted you to see. This is a love song, ‘Shallow.’ The movie, ‘A Star is Born,’ is a love story,” she explained. She also said that the romance rumors made her and Cooper believe they actually did a great job.

Lady Gaga Felt Terrible About The Split

Lady Gaga and Cooper are not in a love relationship, and it looks like they will never be. After Cooper and Shayk’s breakup, Lady Gaga admitted that she felt terrible for his friend, especially since the romance rumors linking her to Cooper was one of the reasons Shayk called it quits. “Even though there was nothing romantic between Bradley and Gaga, the noise was difficult for Irina to deal with,” a source revealed.

Lady Gaga And Bradley Cooper Are Just Good Friends

Since their breakup, Lady Gaga has reportedly kept a safe distance from Cooper so as not to add fuel to the fire. Cooper also doesn’t have plans of dating anyone right now. “Not now — they’re really good friends and still speak all the time, but it’s not his style to jump into another relationship straight away,” a source revealed.
