For each day that goes by after Aldo Sarabia’s gruesome death, a new, shocking detail emerges about the case. His wife, Alma Delia Chávez Guerrero and her lover, Yahir Alfredo Sandoval took the life of the musician and tried to hide the body in the community of El Recodo, in Mazatlán, Sinaloa. They had agreed to meet and go out to eat and once in the car, her lover popped out of the trunk, shooting Sarabia dead. As the investigation continued, Sarabia’s brother, Víctor Sarabia spoke to the press, revealing that his brother had received threats from his wife and he didn’t feel safe anymore around her.

To add even more drama to the situation, Alma Delia’s lawyer is saying that Sarabia was a drug addict and when he used to come home high, he beat not only her but their kids. And if that wasn’t enough, now they’re saying that Sarabia raped both his wife and his 11-year-old daughter. However, Sarabia’s sister, Yolanda Sarabia, has a different version of the story. “He had someone investigate,” Yolanda said, regarding Aldo Sarabia’s suspicions that his wife was having an affair.

“I’m not sure if it was a private eye, a friend or some other contact and he discovered the infidelity. That’s why he decided to separate from her (his wife), but she threatened him a lot. She said to him that she was going to kill him, that she would kick him to the streets, that she would destroy him and that she had already bought a gun to kill him. She used to say that and there’s proof,” added Sarabia’s sister.

She continued to say that her sister-in-law just wanted Sarabia’s fortune and they had been separated for a little over 20 days. She also added that Alma Delia had known her lover for the past year and a half and not four months, as it has been widely reported. “He wanted to do it the legal way. Do things right and file for divorce. Maybe his wife found out that he wanted the divorce and wasn’t going to leave her anything. So they (Alma and her lover) decided to take his life. I suppose that they thought they could cash in the insurance, take the properties, the cars…”

And if that wasn’t enough, Yolanda revealed that the killer was following her brother, according to some neighbors. “Approximately four Sundays ago, my brother came for a nephew’s birthday. It was a barbeque. A lot of people were there, and they’re now identifying the shooter, and saying he was in this town that same day. Since then they were looking for him (Aldo) to do something bad to him.”
