A 12-year-old boy had a tragic death after flying his kite into a high-voltage power line.

Adrian Chaves Lamin died on Sept. 2, in the municipality of Guaranesia, southern Brazil.

According to the local media, the child was home alone and had gone out to play with his kite in a nearby field.

His father returned shortly after. When he couldn’t find Adrian in the house he went looking for him at the family farm.

The father found his son’s lifeless body in the field, covered in burn marks.

His dad "noticed that Adrian's whole body was burned and he had serious injuries to his hands and feet," said Correio Sudoeste.

Residents reported a power failure in the area at about 8.30 am - which police believe to have been the time that young Adrian was electrocuted.

According to reports, the line for Adrian's kite was made out of metal wire wrapped in nylon coating like those ones used on electric fences to keep livestock contained.

Investigators believe the kite drifted and came in contact with a high-power line causing the electrocution.

Social services in Guaranesia are supporting the devastated family through the tragedy and are helping with the funeral arrangements.

Adrian was buried in the municipal cemetery on Sept. 3.

The Civil Police are investigating the fatality.

In another incident, a man and his 15 cattle were found electrocuted in a pond after an 11,000 KV live overhead cable snapped and fell into the water.

The shocking incident took place in the Chiteri village of Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh, India on Monday, Sept.6.

Villagers said a loud noise from the pond alerted them. They rushed to the scene and found the man and cattle carcass floating in the water.

The man sustained life-threatening burn injuries and was taken to a private health facility in Moradabad where he was later pronounced dead.

The cattle carcasses have been sent for necropsy.

The incident has sparked a massive outcry among villagers. They gathered demanding action against the power department officials for ‘negligence’.

Kundarki Station House Officer, Sandeep Kumar, told reporters, "The man, identified as Imrat Ali, 30, succumbed to his burn injuries during treatment at the hospital. An investigation in the case is underway."
