Adamari Lopez and Alaia, television projects, soccer, family

Latin star Adamari López is living one of the most exciting chapters of her career, where the most important role of her personal life, being a mother, intersects with a professional project that has opened the door to a brand-new world.

The Puerto Rican actress and TV host is preparing for the premiere of ¿Quién Caerá Kids? (Who Will Fall Kids?), a fresh version of the hit show that she will co-host alongside her daughter, Alaïa. In an exclusive conversation, López spoke about filming in Uruguay, the expectations surrounding the program's debut on Unimás, the love of soccer that unites her with her daughter, and the other projects that keep her inspired.

Among them is his partnership with Direct TV, the television distribution company that "accompanies me wherever I am. It's my connection to what's happening in my world, wherever I am," he said. Part of that connection is through Vix , the world's largest Spanish-language video streaming platform, which now automatically comes with the Direct TV service.

But there's also her role as host of Desiguales, the afternoon talk show on Televisa-Univisión , and of ¿Quién Caerá?, the Unimás game show, which she's already had for two seasons. The Kids version, in which she'll share the screen with her 10-year-old daughter, is coming soon. This project was filmed months ago but has yet to premiere.

During the production, mother and daughter alternated roles: some days Adamari was in charge, others Alaïa, and on several occasions they were able to interview the show's participants together. "I never imagined she would adapt so quickly," Adamari said. "It wasn't a game for Alaïa: she rehearsed, she wanted to do well, she asked how to improve. That filled me with pride as a mother."

Adamari and Alaia Who Will Fall

Recorded in Uruguay and broadcast by Unimás

Filming took place in Uruguay, where the production team assembled the show with a technical crew and locations that took advantage of the local landscape. Adamari recounted that during those months, she experienced the dual dynamic of working far away and missing her daughter, although her daughter traveled to be with her whenever possible.

Who Will Fall? Kids will be broadcast on Unimás , the platform that will program the show's premiere. Although the exact date hasn't been announced, there are already rumors that it could begin hitting theaters soon. Adamari appreciates that Unimás gives her the opportunity to reach the Hispanic audience in the United States with such a personal family project.

"The truth is, she liked it so much that it wasn't even over yet, and she was already asking me, 'Mami, when can we do this again?' 'Mami, do you think people will like it?' 'Mami, I want to go back to Uruguay. Mami, I want to do the show again," she recalled. "That excited me a lot because I thought she might like it, but I didn't understand that she would like it so much, and I'm really excited."

Football as an emotional thread

Sports are another emotional bond between mother and daughter. Alaïa has developed a passion for soccer since she was little, following names like Mbappé, Messi, and Cristiano Ronaldo. "Those are her heroes, and I'm happy to support her," she said.

The girl even traveled with her mother on tours and trips, visiting iconic stadiums. Through this time together, they discovered a shared world that allowed them to connect beyond the film set.

Adamari doesn't hide her joy at seeing her daughter so involved: "She talked about soccer, asked me for jerseys, asked me who her favorite player was... And while we were recording the program, that passion was still present," she said.

DirectTV and Adamari's television journey

Although the focus is on the new show with her daughter, Adamari also recalled her long journey in front of the cameras. She mentioned that brands like DirecTV have supported her on important campaigns that have allowed her to be present in the Spanish-language entertainment scene in the United States. This visibility gave her the platform to take on challenges like hosting educational programs and, today, this new children's project with her daughter.

Adamari also hinted at more projects coming in the future, which she couldn't yet share, so we'll keep you posted.
