Airbnb is giving soccer fans a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity: select hosts in the 16 cities hosting the 2026 FIFA World Cup are including free match tickets as part of guest stays. From the group stage through the final, travelers can now book accommodations that include access to live matches at stadiums across North America.

The promotion, which launches immediately, highlights accommodations with a soccer ball icon on Airbnb listings to indicate included tickets. Rates for participating properties average $385 per night, with tickets covering all registered guests, up to the maximum occupancy of the stay. Once a reservation is confirmed, hosts provide instructions for claiming the tickets.

"Airbnb hosts aren't just offering a place to stay; they're creating authentic ways to experience a destination," said Dave Stephenson, Airbnb's Chief Commercial Officer. "For the 2026 World Cup, they're helping fans follow their teams with accommodations that include free tickets in every host city."

Guests can book tickets in phases aligned with the tournament schedule:

  • Group Stage & Round of 32 – Reservations open June 10, in cities including Los Angeles, Boston, Monterrey, New York/New Jersey, Mexico City, San Francisco, Seattle, Vancouver, Kansas City, and Dallas.
  • Round of 16 – Reservations open June 18, in Philadelphia, Houston, New York/New Jersey, Mexico City, Dallas, and Seattle.
  • Quarterfinals – Reservations open July 1, in Boston, Los Angeles, Miami, and Kansas City.
  • Semifinals – Reservations open July 9, in Dallas and Atlanta.
  • Final – Reservations open July 16, in New York/New Jersey.

For hosts, the initiative is more than hospitality. Federico Zimmerman, an Airbnb host in Dallas, said, "I grew up playing soccer; it's been part of my life since I could walk. Sharing that love with guests and giving them access to a World Cup match is something I never imagined when I first listed my property."

In total, the campaign will distribute more than 1,300 free tickets, including surprise tickets for guests with existing reservations during the group stage, as well as tickets now included with new bookings across all host cities. The program spans the entire tournament, from the opening matches through the final.

This initiative marks one of Airbnb's largest event-based campaigns, combining hospitality with live sports access, and represents a significant draw for soccer fans planning to travel to the U.S., Canada, and Mexico for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
