Tonight was elimination night on “American Idol.” The top 4, composed of Jena Irene, Caleb Johnson, Alex Preston and Jessica Meuse, left their hearts out on the Idol stage last night. The three that went through tonight, get to visit their hometown and get to perform for your votes again next week.
Ryan announced the first person headed to their hometown. The first person saved by America was Jena Irene. Ryan then announced that Caleb Johnson was the next contestant saved by America. Jessica and Alex awaited their results. One would be performing next week and get the hometown visit and the other would be sent home. Ryan announced that Alex Preston was saved by America. Jena, Caleb and Alex live to sing once again on the idol stage.
