American Idol
Jena Irene and Caleb Johnson battled out tonight. It's up to you America to decide who will be the next American Idol! FOX

Tonight on part one of the “American Idol” finale the top 2 contestants – Jena Irene and Caleb Johnson—sang three song each for America’s votes. In round one, they sang Simon Fuller’s picks, round two was their favorite song during the season and finally the song they will release post finale. Simon Fuller is the creator of American Idol.

Jena Irene started off round one singing “Dog Days Are Over,” Simon Fuller’s pick. She received good feedback from the judges although they did say that adrenaline did take over her performance. Simon Fuller picked “Dream On” for Caleb. JLo said “that’s what you gotta do. This is the finale, this is it.” She even said that that song may have done it. Keith said that he had him from the beginning of the performance.

For round two Jena chose her favorite performance of the season and it was when she sang “Can’t Help Fallin’ In Love.” Harry told her it was absolutely beautiful. Jlo told her that her soul comes through in that song. For his favorite of the season, Caleb sang “Maybe I’m Amazed.” The judges said he sounded great but lacked emotion.

Jena, for the last round with the potential winner’s single, sang “We Are One.” She received great feedback from the judges. Up next, with the other potential winner’s single Caleb sang “As Long As You Love Me.”

Don’t miss “American Idol” tomorrow night to find out who will be the winner of season 13. Voting is now open! Also, Jena will perform with Paramore and Caleb will sing with Kiss.
