With their popularity and huge bank accounts, celebrities are always assumed to be living a worry-free life. While money may not be an issue, the fact remains that even the most popular ones, such as pop queen Ariana Grande, are just as human as their fans and are likely facing a tough battle that is uniquely their own.

A common problem for the rich and famous is that they are usually under enormous amounts of stress and pressure. This, coupled with the usual sensitivity among artistic types, would usually mean that they’re likely to develop some type of mental health issue somewhere down the line.

Grande, for instance, has never been shy about how she struggled with anxiety despite her successful career. For fans who are in the same boat as the singer, here are five of her most powerful quotes about dealing with anxiety.

Living With Anxiety Is Like Riding A Seesaw

Grande opened up on her struggles with anxiety and how there’ll be days where she feels alright, followed by days where everything seems crashing to the ground. The important thing is to move forward and never lose hope.

“I almost feel guilty that I have it because it’s just in your head and it’s just so crazy how powerful it is. You have ups and downs and sometimes you’ll go weeks at a time where you will be crushing it and there will be no anxiety … and then something will happen that can trigger it and then you have a couple of down days,” the singer said.

Seek Therapy As Soon As Possible

Some people might dismiss depression or anxiety as something that’s merely “all in your head.” For this reason, some sufferers might have doubt on whether or not to tell their friends about their ordeal of if seeing a therapy is worth the effort. But Grande swears that seeing a competent therapist did wonders for her.

“Therapy has saved my life so many times. If you're afraid to ask for help, don't be. You don't have to be in constant pain and you can process trauma. I've got a lot of work to do but it's a start to even be aware that it's possible,” the singer explained.

Meditation Helped Her Deal With Anxiety

One way Grande deals with her anxiety is through relaxation techniques such as meditation. In fact, the singer says that the practice also helped her adjust to her busy schedule.

“Meditation is a great way to keep my body well-centered while juggling shooting schedules and recording sessions,” Grande said.

Whatever Hardship One Is Going Through, It Too Shall Pass

The negative feelings and frustrations one feels when dealing with any type of mental health issue can be overwhelming at times that it’s hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. But Grande has been there and wishes to remind everyone going through some ordeal that things are definitely going to get better.

“Cherish every moment even if you're stressed or hurt ... There's always tomorrow and it always gets better,” reminds the singer.

Change Is Within Anyone’s Grasp

It may sometimes come to a point where a person might feel that changing one’s attitude and thought patterns is too difficult to achieve. But Grande is there to remind everyone that changing themselves for the better is within their reach. Sure it may take some effort, but the reward for the hard work is definitely worth it.

“The energy u put out is exactly what u get back, please create a beautiful life for yourselves,” Grande points out.
