Ben Affleck reportedly committed a major sobriety slip lately. However, it does not seem that he is at risk of any full relapse, because he looks refreshed and pulled together on his first appearance after the said incident.

Hours after he suffered a slip from his commitment to sobriety at a Halloween party, the actor was looking all better and freshened up as he visited his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, in Pasadena. He was spotted holding a Dunkin’ ice coffee from his car to his ex’s home.

Sporting a grey sweatshirt and jeans, he looks so far, far away from how he looked the night before. Earlier, he was the UNICEF Masquerade Ball and was spotted leaving the event held at La Peer Hotel in West Hollywood, looking very disoriented. it was apparent that he was not sober - as he half walked and half stumbled on the street. TMZ even showed a video of him in his drunken state, needing to lean on an SUV to make himself steady.

The video made rounds, but not everyone thought it was worth bashing the actor about.

"Sobriety is difficult and elusive for everyone struggling with addiction," a friend of the actor told People magazine after the video surfaced. "Ben has acknowledged he’s going to slip up from time to time. It was never as if this was simply behind him."

Another source told People magazine that the actor himself owned up to his mistake. "You could tell that it wasn’t an easy thing for him, but Ben owned his mistake," the source said. "He said it happens, that he slipped up but that it won’t happen again. It was a smart move because now the story is basically over... He looked tired."

Affleck himself did not shy away from a curious paparazzi, asking him about the contents of the video. "It happens. It was a slip, but I'm not going to let it derail me. Thank you very much, guys," the Argo director said before walking to the driveway of Garner’s home.
