The "Blue Beetle" movie from DC Studios has a trailer. The Angel Manuel Soto-directed film debuts the first Latino superhero in DC's film history, with Xolo Maridueña playing the protagonist.

The film also marks the first of a Latino lead in a live-action superhero movie.

Afro-Latino Miles Morales was a prominent character in the 2019 animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

Adriana Barraza, Damián Alcázar, Elpidia Carrillo, Bruna Marquezine, Raoul Max Trujillo, Susan Sarandon, and George Lopez also appear in the movie.

The DC Comics superhero named Blue Beetle has been played by a variety of people over the years. All you need to know about the character is provided below.

A popular DC Comics character noted for his ingenious devices, acrobatic prowess, and bravery, Blue Beetle has appeared in the DC Universe for more than 80 years in some capacity, and he is still a fan favorite today, Wion News reported.

Charles Nicholas Wojtkoski developed the original Blue Beetle, Dan Garrett, who made his debut in Mystery Men Comics #1 in 1939.

The character was later revived by Charlton Comics in the 1960s and then acquired by DC Comics in the 1980s.

Ted Kord, the most well-known variant of Blue Beetle, was created by Steve Ditko and made his debut in Captain Atom #83 in 1966.

Ted Kord is a martial arts master and a great inventor. Dan Garrett, the first Blue Beetle, served as his mentor, and after Garrett's passing, Kord took over as the second Blue Beetle.

Although Kord lacks superhuman abilities, he fights crime with a high-tech suit and his inventions. He can fly because of the wings on his bulletproof coat, which is constructed of lightweight material.

He also employs a range of weapons, such as energy blasters and grappling guns, to defeat his adversaries.

Over the years, Blue Beetle has been a part of several superhero teams, including the Teen Titans and the Justice League.

He has also been a part of several significant storylines, such as the Infinite Crisis episode, where he was crucial in putting an end to the evil Superboy-Prime.

Jaime Reyes, a new iteration of Blue Beetle who is also the focus of the aforementioned film, was just introduced by DC Comics in recent years.

The DC Comics action-adventure flick "Blue Beetle" (out in theaters on Aug. 18, 2023) follows Jaime Reyes (Xolo Maridueña) as he returns home after college graduation, only to find himself in the unexpected possession of an ancient relic of alien biotechnology known as the Scarab.

Before he can stop it, the Scarab intertwines itself with Jaime, giving him a suit of armor and superhero powers that his family has no shortage of opinions about.

The Blue Beetle as portrayed by Reyes is more intimately related to the ethereal and mystical aspects of the DC Universe, and he has been extensively featured in recent storylines like Infinite Frontier and Future State.
