A 16-year-old boy has been accused of killing his 20-year-old brother by attacking him with a spade while his older sibling was asleep. The young suspect reportedly proceeded to dismember the victim's body into multiple pieces and scattered the remains in different areas in their family's residence in Uttar Pradesh, India.

The horrifying incident reportedly happened in the Fatehpur Dhola village in the Saharanpur District of Uttar Pradesh, India on July 19. The victim, identified as Farman, 20, was allegedly murdered and buried by his little brother while sleeping after a heated fight broke out between them the night before over the latter's mobile phone. The incident came to light after their neighbors noticed a foul smell of decay coming from the victim's house, Times Now reported.

Farman reportedly locked his minor brother's newly bought mobile phone and forgot the combination to turn it back on. When the accused picked a fight with Farman over the issue, he brutally thrashed the suspect.

The infuriated teenager allegedly attacked his elder brother Farman with a spade while the latter was sleeping, leading to serious injuries that resulted in his death. Following the attack, the accused allegedly chopped the victim's body into multiple pieces and buried them in different areas inside their home.

The murder came to light when villagers noticed a horrible smell of decay coming from the brothers' house. The suspicious villagers proceeded to ask the teenager about Farman's whereabouts. However, the accused could not provide a satisfactory answer, leading to the police being alerted, Social Jasoos reported.

A subsequent raid by authorities on the family residence yielded the mangled remains of the older brother. Farman's body parts were reportedly exhumed and sent for a post-mortem examination.

“Their parents have died, and two elder sisters are married. The brothers had been living in the house for the last two years. The accused has been taken into custody and will be sent to a juvenile home after we complete our interrogation," Atul Kumar Sharma, Saharanpur Superintendent of Police (SP) said.

In a similar but unrelated incident, a former boxer ended up getting a five-year and two-month sentence after he reportedly killed his brother with one punch following an argument at a local bar, Latin Times reported.

Dominic Robson, 26, reportedly took exception to sexual comments made by his brother Jorden Bell on his girlfriend while they were drinking at a local pub. Robinson allegedly took a swing at Bell, knocked him out, and walked away from the scene with his girlfriend.

A witness told the authorities that he heard a loud thud while he was walking along the street and saw a man lying on the ground with blood coming out of his ears.

Bell was rushed to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle where it was found he had suffered "catastrophic" brain injuries when his head crashed against the concrete. He died at the hospital two weeks after the attack on July 10. Robson was reportedly arrested and sentenced to five years and two months for manslaughter.
