Brad Pitt may have already divorced both Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie, but interest in their love triangle continues to this day. While the “Troy” actor had been relatively quiet throughout the entire ordeal, there was one interview where Pitt might have hinted that life with Aniston was a bit boring.

The interview happened in 2011, where Pitt spoke about his previous marriage to Aniston. At this point, the actor already had kids with Angelina and was living with her.

Many believed that Pitt implied in that interview that he was not satisfied with his life when he was with Aniston. “It became very clear to me that I was intent on trying to find a movie about an interesting life, but I wasn’t living an interesting life myself,” Pitt told Parade.

He even pointed to his previous marriage as a possible reason for his dissatisfaction. “I think that my marriage [to actress Jennifer Aniston] had something to do with it. Trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn’t,” the actor added.

“One of the greatest, smartest things I ever did was give my kids Angie as their mom. She is such a great mom. Oh, man, I’m so happy to have her,” Pitt added. It can be recalled that the actor did not have any children with Aniston.

This comment by Pitt resulted in a huge backlash from his and Jennifer Aniston’s fans, who interpreted what he said as insulting to his first wife. The actor later issued a statement released via his talent agency to clarify things.

“It grieves me that this was interpreted this way,” Pitt said in a statement. “Jen is an incredibly giving, loving, and hilarious woman who remains my friend. It is an important relationship I value greatly.”

The actor went on to blame himself for his uninteresting life and not Aniston. “The point I was trying to make is not that Jen was dull, but that I was becoming dull to myself — and that, I am responsible for,” Pitt explained.

This happened a few years back, and Aniston obviously got over whatever hurt she may have felt at that time. She and Pitt are back to being friends, and fans are even hopeful that they might rekindle their relationship.
