A California man was arrested after his 66-year-old missing mother’s body was found in a Los Angeles-area trash bin.

The woman, identified as Teresa Pasillas Iniguez, was found dead Monday, April 5, in a trash bin in Huntington Park, a day after she was reported missing by a relative.

The woman’s body was found in the area where she was reported to be last seen. The cause of death is unknown at the moment.

According to a Los Angeles County sheriff’s official, the unnamed relative who reported Iniguez missing late Sunday also said the woman’s car was stolen.

Investigators found the missing car the next morning, the Associated Press reported.

The victim’s son, who has not been identified, was initially detained as part of the investigation. He was later arrested for his involvement in his mother’s death.

The details about the motive and how he committed the crime were unclear at this time.

As this is an ongoing investigation, investigators have not revealed any further details of the incident.

In another incident, a daughter hacked her mother to death because a pastor told her she is a witch. The shocking incident happened in the city of Ondo in Nigeria.

The suspect, 30-year-old Blessing Jimoh, hacked her mother, Ijeoma Odo, with a cutlass while the two were working on the farm. Jimoh, a mother of four, confessed to the murder and said she was mentally unstable when she committed the crime.

The suspect told police that she killed her mother because a pastor told her that her mother was the reason for all her misfortune and that she is a witch. She told the investigators that something was pushing her to kill her mother and she finally did so to put an end to the insanity in her life.

The woman was arrested and charged with murder.
