Have you recently seen a Wookie hurting someone?

New Orleans officials said a Chewbacca cosplayer reportedly stabbed someone "during an altercation" on Saturday.

According to NOLA.com, the Wookie's head fell off during the scuffle, so they released a picture of the man in full costume.

The street performer, believed to be a man in his 20s, got into an argument with someone on Saturday around 8:50 p.m. The stabbing happened in the 700 block of Toulouse Street, Fox 8 said.

Officials are "looking for [a] street performer who wears a Star Wars Chewbacca costume," the NOPD said in a tweet. "Subject is suspected of stabbing victim w/knife during [an] altercation on April 24."

Unless you count tweets like "I just saw him attacking a military installation near the forest moon of Endor," or "He was seduced to the dark side of the force," information on the victim's status was unavailable. Tips were not forthcoming, too.

Others questioned whether the stabbing, as police said, was done with a knife.

"You sure he didn't stab him with a light saber??" one person tweeted.

Maybe Luke Skywalker and the original Chewy are shaking their heads in disbelief as Mark Hamill delivered his famous "I have a very bad feeling about this" line everywhere.

The public was asked to help police and Crimestoppers in locating Chewbacca. Anyone with details about the incident is urged to call the NOPD's Eighth District detectives at 504-658-6080 or Crimestoppers of Greater New Orleans at 504-822-1111 or toll-free 1-877-903-STOP.
