As Donald Trump continues his campaign to score the Republican nomination to run for President of the United States, he has made horrific remarks against immigrants. When he first announced his candidacy, he singled out Mexicans. His idea of “making America great again” was by building a huge wall to prevent anymore people from crossing the US-Mexico border. Trump said that our southern neighbors were “not sending their best” and calling the ones that did make it over “rapists” and “murderers.” That blanket statement did not sit well with Mexicans and definitely not well received by those immigrants that did seek opportunities in other countries to lead a better life by working hard.

Diego Saul Reyna just stood up to Donald Trump in a “hhhhhhhuge” way. He is a construction worker that migrated to Canada from Mexico. His latest work site? Trump Tower in Vancouver, Canada. Yes, a hotel by the Republican front-runner, Donald Trump. As construction wraps up on the luxurious hotel, Saul Reyna decided to hang a Mexican flag atop the tower and post it on his Facebook page, which has now gone viral. He attached the picture (above) with the reasons of why he did it. “Because from the concrete pouring, finishing, drywall, taping, wood forming and general labour, Mexicans were there, building it, doing good work,” he wrote.

“The comments Trump has made about us, did not stop us from doing the high quality work we have always done, in our home country or when we migrate to the US/Canada,” he added. “Mr. Trump, we did our best work, your tower, here in Vancouver is premium quality, and we were a crucial part of it, not just Mexicans but immigrants as a whole, like your ancestors were, you are not Native American, the insults you have said about us, have not changed our work ethics. While working on your tower, Mexicans didn't steal anything, nor raped anyone, we just did the best work we could possibly do, for my ourselves, our families and the future tenants in your building, PLEASE HELP ME SHARE THIS MESSAGE SO IT CAN GET TO MR TRUMP'S NEWS FEED, THANKS!!!”
