The Dallas Mavericks and the Detroit Pistons tangle on Monday, Jan. 30, at the American Airlines Center with the two teams hoping to bounce back after last-game losses.

On one end are the hosting Mavericks who are still smarting from a 100-108 loss at the hands of the Utah Jazz. Notably absent from that encounter was Luka Doncic who missed the game due to a sprained ankle. The Slovenian remains questionable against the Pistons.

In Doncic’s absence, Spencer Dinwiddie stepped up with 35 points and eight assists. Backing him up was Reggie Bullock who came off the bench to chip in 19 markers and five rebounds.

The Mavericks are averaging 112.4 points per game, 24th in the league. They also own an offensive rating of 115, 9th in the NBA.

Dallas is also limiting opponents to 112.1 points per contest, 8th in the league. They carry a defensive rating of 114.9, 23rd in the NBA at the moment.

On the other end, the Pistons are also out to try and get a win after falling to the Houston Rockets, 114-117.

In a battle of the NBA’s worst teams, Detroit was led by Alec Burks who had 21 points. Bojan Bogdanovic finished with 18 points and three assists while Jaden Ivey added 16 markers, seven rebounds and five assists.

“It seems like all these games come down to the end, but it is all the small things that we aren't doing earlier in games that hurt us,” Pistons coach Dwane Casey said. “We aren't a good enough team to take anyone lightly. We can't do that."

The Pistons are scoring 112.8 points per game, 21st in the league. They have an offensive rating of 111 which is 26th in the NBA as of this writing.

On the defensive side, Detroit is surrendering 120.2 points per contest, 29th in the league. They hold a defensive rating of 118.3, second to the last in the NBA.

The Mavericks are -8.5 spread favorites to prevail over the Pistons who are at +8.5. The Moneyline for this matchup is -346 for Dallas and +273 for Detroit.

The Mavericks host the Pistons on Monday, Jan. 30, at the American Airlines Center with tip-off set for 8:30 p.m. E.T. The game will be shown via NBA League Pass with live streaming also available via fuboTV.
