In light of the news that Donald Trump is our new president elect, many people are either in their feelings or trying to make light of the decision. Singer Demi Lovato has found herself in hot water after posting an insensitive joke about the election results which has many people riled up.

According to Cosmopolitan, the "Confident" singer was forced to apologize for a comment she made via Twitter after the election that actually came for the president elect Donald Trump's mouth.

The 24-year-old who has been very vocal about her support for Democratic nominee Hilary Clinton, tried to make light of the election results with a surprising tweet.

“Sometimes you just have to agree to disagree and grab some p***y," Lovato wrote on Twitter on Tuesday.

The tweet references Trump's leaked Access Hollywood tapes where he was making lewd and disrespectful comments about women to former host Billy Bush back in 2005.

Although the tweet was later deleted, the power of the Internet makes no exceptions when it comes to a screenshot.

Around 5p.m., the singer made an apology to everyone and stated that she was just trying to make light of the election.

“I apologize for the joke I made earlier.. seemed to offend some people. Just making light of the election :” she wrote.

While it may seem that she may be merging towards Trump, Lovato's allegiance is still with Hilary. On Tuesday, the singer tok to Twitter to further share her support for Clinton. She shares her reasoning for voting beacuse of her belief in equality and immigration reform.

"#IVotedBecause I believe in equality, we need comprehensive immigration reform, I am pro-choice and global warming IS real. #ImWithHer" she wrote.
